Former RSM PWOR, CWO Jamie Mackenzie, and long-serving member of the Regiment and Cadet Corps, was recently promoted to Captain.

Captain Jamie Mackenzie was born in Pembroke Ontario on May 26th 1974. In February 1992, he enrolled in the Canadian Forces and upon completion of his infantryman training at CFB Petawawa, joined the ranks of The Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment (PWOR) in Kingston. For the past 29 years Captain Mackenzie has been employed in all levels and positions within the regiment.
Following a deployment to Bosnia Herzegovina in 2003 / 2004 he began employment with the Peace Support Training centre (PSTC) located at CFB Kingston. While at PSTC he instructed pre-deployment training as well as numerous CIMIC and Psyops courses. In 2006 he was employed in the development of RANA FM, the Canadian Forces radio station operating in Pashto. In the fall of 2006 he deployed to Kandahar for the deployment and expansion of RANA FM to the Kandahar area. In 2010 he was promoted to Master Warrant Officer and employed as the Training Sergeant Major at the Canadian Forces Conduct after Capture Training Centre. In May 2015 he was appointed the Regimental Sergeant Major of the PWOR. He was promoted to CWO in Sept 2016 where he served as the RSM for 5 years. Upon completion of his RSM appointment he commissioned to the rank of Capitan and is currently serving as A company Operations Officer at the Princess of Wales Own Regiment.
